It is important that you have an in-depth about an ebook especially if you plan on reading any e books. There are many versions of the ebook that seem to exist. The whole idea of copy rights is to encourage or give boost to brilliant and talented publishers and authors by giving them special rights to their alleged work for a very short period of time. E book that seems to be free and is protected by copyright has many types. One of them is Sample e Books. These E books are offered by a well known publisher and are done so to attract the reader. It follows the theory of attracting bee to the honey. However the ‘honey’ in this case is not free and is just a sample. It will only include first few chapters. It will contain enough chapters to lure its readers into ordering the actual book. There will be and are websites that do not feel the need to show a clear distinction between a sample book and a whole book.

Another type is free e books. These are as the name it self states, free and seem to include complete books by the authors. However they are only present for a short period of time and only target a special audience. Other two types of ebook would be simple compilations and some original works offered by authors that are download-able. Other types of e books are library e books and e books that are not protected by any sort of copyright.
